The Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclaide is one of the largest and most successful engineering colleges in the United Kingdom, the largest in Scotland. The administration seeks to employ a workshop technician to work within the technical support team, and to provide technical assistance and experience for university and research projects within the department. The main duties of this post will be the manufacture of custom devices, for example, the specialized mechanical or electromocanic devices, the operation, preparation and preparation of engineering workshop equipment within laboratories without supervision. It will also provide technical and support for students and employees working in the laboratory field. Dispacked parts of engineering graphics will produce a high level of accuracy, using all standard engineering workshop machines (handcrafted, CNC, grinding machines, etc.) The pregnant woman will also provide installation and maintenance services in other laboratory areas. The successful applicant will also do engineering -based laboratories, training students, teachers in engineering applications, mills, etc. This role will require that the pregnant woman be confident in speaking to large groups while overseeing young employees and students. The post -pregnant woman will require a wide and profound understanding of a set of roads and engineering applications.
Beyond the pregnant woman will contact students, academic employees and other ultimate users on the most effective means to produce a test sample, build a test platform, and maintenance of general equipment. You will take responsibility for the safety and hygiene of the work area.
The role requires a great degree of solving problems, personal responsibility and the initiative in dealing with machine problems and responding to unexpected problems and conditions with the minimum guidance of the line manager.
A successful applicant will have completed recognized engineering vocational training using the machine and HNC tools in mechanical engineering and has great and relevant important experience. They should also be qualified to operate all standard workshop machines to a high level of accuracy and be able to explain engineering graphics. They will be parallel, confident and have extensive experience in many technical engineering disciplines, for example, machines, installation skills, material properties, and manual treatment.
