The British Science Association (BSA) is looking to employ the director of the experience of an experienced festival to manage the development of the festival program and support the broader team with the delivery of the British Science Festival.

Its headquarters: Our main office is located in London, but we have a graceful work policy that enables people to work on another location in the UK up to 4 days/week for those who depend on positions.

About the role

The British Science Association (BSA) is looking to employ the director of the experience of an experienced festival to manage the development of the festival program and support the broader team with the delivery of the British Science Festival.

Posolder is also expected to run some projects related to the UK Scientific Festival (UKSFN).

The British Science Festival is the tallest science festival in Europe that connects people with researchers from all over the scientific spectrum. It is hosted by the United Kingdom University every year and provides an inspiring program for free events for the public for four or five days. Events extend to a variety of formats and topics that include science in the broader sense.

Our vision is to establish the festival as a leader in the participation of comprehensive sciences for younger adults (16-34) who have been represented by an imperfect representative in science and who see either science or those interested in science, but they do not make any special effort to participate. 2023 festival It was hosted by the University of Exeter last September. The role will include frequent travel to the festival site in addition to one week on the site during the festival itself.

the UK science festivals (UKSFN) was established to unify, celebrate and develop scientific festivals in the United Kingdom. It meets several times a year to exchange best practices and discuss the future of the scientific festivals sector. UKSFN is managed by BSA and we call for the importance of science festivals in a conversation with financing and decision makers.

“Communications Making” is one of the UKSFN programs and aims to involve young people from low economic backgrounds with science and research and provide a “safe” place for researchers in the scientific festival to test general participation activities on related and important topics for young people.

Main responsibilities

The main responsibilities for the British Science Festival aspect of this role will be:

• For the British Science Festival Development and Delivery Management Project (including the leader in the festival program, the program scheduling, festival programming budget management, etc.).

• To create and present the events and experiences of a unique festival related to the audience targeting the festival (younger adults were represented in science)

• To develop partnerships with local communities and stakeholders who were represented incomplete in science, and other non -higher organizations, and their support to participate in the festival

• To support the festival evaluation

• For the engagement official management and support line

• Our management Scientific departments Events through their support in developing appropriate content for the masses of the festival and the call to increase diversity in the events of the festivals

The successful candidate is expected to work independently, efficiently and accurately.
