Opportunity:

Cancer Research UK (Cruk) has given funding for the regeneration of the Ucl-Edinburgh Cruk Cruk (COE). COE brings together researchers from the University of Edinburgh and the University of London University to develop a deeper understanding of the basic biology of the diet and harnessing this knowledge to push new translation methods to improve patient results.

The post -pregnant center will be at the Institute of Genetics and Cancer, Edinburgh University or research centers within the Faculty of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. The task of the Institute of Genetics and Cancer is to understand development and disease by using the latest methods of genetic, genetic, cellular and clinical sciences. This snake will benefit from global facilities, common resources and multidisciplinary skills, scientific expertise, technology and support services needed to increase scientific discovery and provide a distinguished training environment.

We are seeking a transitional colleagues with a strong busy record to develop an independent research program, related to COE topics. Colleagues are expected to apply for independent research financing with the support of current research programs on brain tumors. They will get a generous consumer budget and a priority for COE infrastructure, including pre -clinical models, and will be supported by a variety of steering diagrams.

A successful candidate will have a doctorate degree in the field of relevant subject (such as biology, neuroscience, biomedics, and cancer biology) and has successfully implemented a period of training after the doctorate. They should also have a fixed post. Excellent organizational skills and recordings are necessary.

Applicants must have experience in providing complex scientific concepts and content in writing and verbal. They will show a strong commitment to improving the results of diet patients and showing excellent collaborative personal skills with the ability to work cooperatively in a multidisciplinary environment.

The pregnant woman is expected to have the ability to help other members in COE, supervise masters and PHD students, as well as cooperate with external research groups.

This full -time post (35 hours per week); However, we are open to looking at flexible action patterns.

Your skills and characteristics for success:

  • Doctorate and doctoral experience, with clear success in providing research results related to the subject specialization (or near the completion)
  • Experience and achievement in the specialized field, reflected in the growing personal research portfolio
  • Extensive experience in developing and applying theory, models, techniques and analytical methods, according to the necessity in this field
  • A good understanding of the potential non -academic effects of research and methods of engaging in order to achieve this.
  • The ability to work with colleagues all over the organization in a respectable way, including collective support for colleagues.
