To help the agency with knowledge and scientific advice regarding the use of the latest data and information technologies to support monitoring, evaluations and preparation of reports on the European Union environment and climate policies.
It is expected to adopt digitization advice, huge data capabilities, artificial intelligence, Copernicus data and information services to improve information delivery to make decisions. Data related to monitoring and evaluation will become increasingly available from a variety of new sources and monitoring operations such as citizens ’science, sensors and industry networks, etd or the Internet of Things, large data and open data.
Advice will address aspects of full “data data” including notes, data management, treatment, analysis and communication. This will link EEA’s work regarding access to data, data extraction, statistics, spatial analysis, indicators, graphics representation, publishing and communication with policymakers, scientists and the public via the web and social media.
