Lecturer/lecturer in the university’s environmental design for creative arts
The Institute of Creativity and Innovation (ICI) is a double -class institute that the University of Creative Arts has established in the United Kingdom and the University of Xiamen in China. Based on the Zhangzhou campus at Xiamen University, about 40 minutes from Xiamen, ICI is located within an area that is a cultural center and an emerging center for design and innovation in southeast China.
Our section combines architecture, interior architecture, landscapes and urban design as distinct and interconnected specialties. We emphasize a multidisciplinary approach based on studio in teaching, and the combination of symmetrical and digital methods in a framework led by the project. Our work is based on creativity, critical thinking and cooperation, with a strong focus on communicating local participation with the wider global design speeches.
We are looking for a flexible and reflective teacher who has a background in the field of relevant design and to a minimum in a role that focuses on teaching in higher education. You will contribute to the environmental design course (with honors) through studio -based teaching, the development of curricula, student support, and the promotion of the research file in the department through academic scholarships, professional practice or creative education. It will bring a deliberate and enlightened approach to teaching, with a clear commitment to design as an intellectual and practice.
The role requires the initiative, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work within a diverse academic environment among cultures. Master’s degree and experience at least two years in teaching in higher education in the field of relevant topic is necessary. Priority will be given to experienced teaching candidates in higher education in the United Kingdom, despite the encouragement of all qualified applicants. The active research in this field or continuous professional practice is assets. PgCert or Hea Fellowship is desirable. Fluency in the English language is required.

Academic publications may be desirable to obtain evidence as they relate to spatial design, creativity or innovation, but they will not be considered sufficient without evidence of teaching and practice.
Priority will be given to experienced applicants in the United Kingdom, or other countries where courses are taught in English.
Candidates should be able to meet Chinese visa requirements. UCA will help obtain a visa.
