Part -time lecturer in organic chemistry, Tats
Tafs University, Department of Chemistry Looking for a part -time lecturer to teach the first organic chemistry lecture (Chem 51) in the spring of 2026. The ideal candidate is a person who has a close work with students and has the ability to support students with a group of educational backgrounds to develop thinking about organic chemistry concepts. The coach will be responsible for giving lectures twice for 75 minutes (it is presented on Monday and Wednesday from 10:30 to 11: 45 am), providing weekly working hours for students, holding weekly meetings with assistants teaching lecturers who teach weekly fading operations, design, management, and evaluation of student evaluation. If it is important, this course may also be interactive with supporting university learning assistants. Chem 51 is the only required organic chemistry course that students should take before registering in the biochemical courses, thus confirming carbonil chemistry. The topics to be covered include: the structure, interconnection, consensual analysis, functional groups, organic interactions, synthesis, mechanisms including acidic/base reactions, nuclear alternatives and cancellation, alcohol reactions, lymphids, ketones, carboxylic acids, amings, and illiterate. The required text is Klein Organic chemistryand 5Y Edition, the semester begins on January 14, 2026.
Qualifications
Individuals should have a doctorate degree in chemistry with experience in the field of organic chemistry, widely defined. Previous teaching experience and/or knowledge of modern teaching practices are preferred, but all candidates with a commitment to excellence in university teaching are encouraged to progress.
