We are cooperating with an exceptional individual to join us as an oldest research colleague in the Systems Medicine Department. The successful candidate will work inside CAPE consortium (CAPE) To explore the relationship between early life and chronic pain. Cape is funded by Ukra Advanced pain discovery platform (APDP). This work will include completing the collection of continuous data in young people with unknown arthritis (JIA) and who suffer from pain/persistent pain. This will facilitate the future analysis of the links between early life and pain.

By working with the group led by Professor Tim Hallz, the successful candidate in UCL and Great ORMOND Street will be restricted to complete data collection in this group. This includes a questionnaire, sensory data (using a quantum sensory test), and brain imaging data (using MRI). In addition, the successful candidate will prepare all the data in advance and cancel it, update the study database, and store data safely in relevant warehouses.

This is a time specified period for 4 months. Looking at the short period of this post, and its purpose is to complete the continuous project, we invite applications from individuals who have already proven experience in work in clinical environments using the required data collection methods and processing, and a strong understanding of clinical pain research.

Your priorities will include:

• Communicate with our clinical collaborators at the University of California, GOSH, and the study participants, to enable appointments in the study of reservation.
• QST performance is uniform and collecting a questionnaire (results scales informed by the patient) and MRI data during the study sessions of 4 hours in young people who suffer from anonymous syndrome joints.
• Preparation of data, cancellation of identity, and entering the study database.
• Providing data backup and storage in relevant warehouses, as required.
• Work together with other members of the Cape Research Group.
• Preparing the progress reports of the presentation in the monthly Cape meetings and other meetings, as required.

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s and doctorate in neuroscience, psychology, or relevant field.
• Experience installed in the unified QST performance in the clinical population is required.
• Experience in dealing with pre -processing, and analyzing MRI data.
• The experience of working with the weak clinical population and within the clinical environments.
• Publications as a first or important author to contribute to internationally ruled magazines.
