Associate Professor of Manufacturing Operations at the University of Limrick

The ideal candidates for this post will have a primary degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, operations engineering or a closely related area and doctoral degree (level 10 NFQ) in manufacturing, quality, mechanical or automated system design.

The successful candidate is expected to create an independent research program supported by external financing and supervising graduate research students. The successful candidate is expected to be able to work independently as well as contributing to research/group centers such as the Bernal Institute and DPTC among other things, to develop and enhance manufacturing and improve operations through a variety of sectors. Candidates must have the ability to give a lecture for students in manufacturing, industrial organization and commitment to excellence in teaching.
