Rushbury Estate – Wildlife Boxes
Project Communications Officer (Rothbury Estate)
salary: Up to 29,000 pounds annually
location: Rothbury / Newcastle Area- Home works with frequent travel to Rothbury and Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (2 to 3 times a week)
Full -time (35 hours per week)
Temporary contract – A fixed period of November 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026

Wildlife boxes are a popular movement for people from a wide range of backgrounds and all aspects of life, who believe that we need nature and nature. We have more than 944,000 members, more than 38,000 volunteers, 3600 employees and 600 secretaries. There are 46 individual wildlife boxes, each of which is an independent charity based on its place with its own legal identity, which are formed by groups of people who meet with others and work a positive difference in wildlife and future generations, starting from the place where they live and work.
Project background
The wildlife boxes have an opportunity to secure the historical and vast Rushbury drug for nature, locals and nation and currently seeks to finance this and develop a vision of the property by:
- Conducting surveys surveys, appointing specialized contractors and listening to the local population, farmers, visitors and other stakeholders to understand the needs and opportunities of the site for nature, people and societies better
- The involvement of local, regional and national masses to enhance the understanding of this heritage scene
- Working with local and national stakeholders to participate in creating a new integrated approach to land management, as it will support the recovery of sustainable agriculture, climate flexibility, public access and flexible/connected societies
This project will put the foundations for the future of the Rothbury Estate, a future that will see that it becomes the heart of a 40 -miles -length nature throughout northern England. This project is led by the Royal Wildlife Association (RSWT) that works in partnership with NorthBerland Wildlife Trust. About you
We are looking for a talented telecommunications professional to work with wildlife funds in a transformational partnership project focusing on the historical Rothhbury Estate in Northamberland.
It will be a self -motivated, flexible start and flourish as part of a team. You will be experienced in working in the communications and media team, developing, analyzing and evaluating influential stories and content through the various channels of printing, digital and broadcasting to pay the procedures.
You will be adept in communicating with the masses from a varied mix of backgrounds, with creative taste and the ability to create clear and simple messages that educate people and inspire them to behave.
You will be adept at finding and writing stories that are likely to generate the media’s attention, with a good understanding of the news work schedule and the ability to keep pace with the current affairs. Your ability to make great contacts with people on Earth will be a decisive part of this.
You will be a strategic thinker with excellent attention to detail, and is used in achieving a balance between multiple priorities and using your initiative, while working against narrow final dates.
You will need to work with a number of teams across the Central Charitable Corporation, RSWT, including communications, press, media, media and community organization, as well as colleagues from Northamberland for wildlife, and 46 of confidence in wildlife and individuals in society and we build a mass movement for people who take action for nature.
