We are looking for a member of technical staff (MTS) – systems security in our Geointeigence Engineering team in our office in Richmond.

Our mission is to convert data into an insightful look. From the discovery of changes in fragile ecosystems to monitoring the northern ice horizon and charging methods, our realistic time data for Earth and the environment makes our geographical team pioneering in spatial geographical images, ground stations, spatial geographical systems and defense programs.

As a member of the engineering team, you will work on our programs such as the Radar Conthetic Radar (SAR), the Canadian surface fighter (CSC), a kilometer square bench (SKA), air navigation products, and marine marine products. It will work as part of a technical team to develop new capabilities, enhance current capabilities and provide solutions to our customers.

Position

As a member of the technical team members (MTS) – Systems Security, you will have responsibilities for security elements in the tasks of land surveillance space in MDA, large defense contracts such as CSC and a variety of advanced products that extend from Geointeigence based on the cloud to the laser warning and anti -suffering system.

Excellent internal and external communication skills are necessary in order to work closely with the customer, with other technical teams, and support the development of strong, safe and cost -effective systems.

A successful candidate will have a mixture of deep security knowledge, engineering experience of systems, and work experience in defense contracts.

As a member of the Security Engineering team for Geointeigence, you will ensure that expert support to the various product/project teams to ensure the goal of safety and compliance with the policies, procedures and standards in force. The targeted security position and/or safety requirements for projects and solutions will be determined while defining and developing them. It will provide an insight into the management of weakness and response within complex information systems.

Responsibilities

As a member of technical staff (MTS) – Systems Security, you may have a wide range of responsibilities that include:

• Consultations about the structure of the comprehensive system, operations concepts, or system improvements from a security perspective;
• Extracting safety, designs, solutions and mechanisms in response to customer requirements, standards and internal policies;
• Development and preservation of all the systems of the system related to safety (for example specifications, features, testing documents, weaknesses, threat models, customer reports, etc.) from the customer level to the level of the main sub -system of projects in development and/or service;
• Supervising the verification of safety related aspects of the product/system;
• Make threat assessments and threat models for MDA systems/products and advise on the procedures required to mitigate risk;
• Review the results of the scanning and compliance, and develop and determine the priorities of the necessary treatment procedures for project employees to do;
• Support the delivery of the engineering program through the development and generation of security and budget plans; and
• A coach and teacher of novice team members.

Compulsory experience and skills:

• Certificate, diploma in engineering, computer science, information technology, or related experience in systems security.
• Security security certificate approved information systems
• 5 years or more of work in the engineering or information systems environment;
• Understanding the delivery and implementation of the DND project from the requirements through assignment and support;
• Estimating the delivery and accreditation process against CSE directives (for example ITSG-11/22/33/38);
• The experience of maintaining close business relationships with regime engineers and other customer representatives;
• Verbal and written communication skills and interaction skills between customers, and
• Exceptional leadership skills, problem solving capabilities and project implementation points.

Favorite experience and skills:

• Experience in accreditation (risk assessment and governance) for systems classified for information systems that include information systems, cross -field solutions, and multi -field inter -operating capacity;
• Experience with NIST SP-800 Suite (EG-53, -160) ISO/IEC, Disa Stigs, CIS, Sans Sandards;
• Experience in designing, publishing and making security operations centers; It includes technologies such as safety and event management information (SIEM), an infiltration detection system (IDS), an infiltration system (IPS), and automatic learning technologies.
• Practical experience with one or more of the following products: Microsoft Enterprise Group of software, SIEMS, weakness evaluation tools, continuous monitoring tools for continuous monitoring, virtual simulation techniques;
• Insword with any of the following:
  • Establishing work continuity plans and disaster recovery programs;
  • Open source safety test methodology;
  • Owasp and SQL references, weaknesses,
  • Requirement management programs such as doors,
• Certificates such as:
  • Certified cloud security specialist (CCSP), or
  • Certified Information Security Director (CISM).
