The College of Engineering, Computing and Environment (ECE) seeks to appoint a new head of the Mechanical Engineering Department. The city’s city’s home strategy has set an ambitious growth goal in terms of employing students for the next three academic years. ECE is in good position to contribute effectively to this goal. Consequently, we look forward to listening from individuals who have a busy record of employing students in the higher education sector, especially in mechanical engineering.

The position of head of the mechanical engineering department is an opportunity to lead a great academic team, based on a dedicated engineering sanctuary in Roecapton Vale. With exceptional laboratory and technical facilities, there is an abundance of scope so that one of the post -pregnant holders is still more on the foundations of the strong section.

Candidates should have strong administrative experience and academic file related to mechanical engineering discipline. This means understanding the directions and expectations of students and employers alike. You will have an appetite for innovation and the ability to motivate employees and challenge them in fruitful ways. You will have the ability to contribute to the business agenda and innovation in the college through your own activities and those you incite throughout the section. You will have a real estimate of the problems that are operated in mechanical engineering to ensure a related and meaningful wallet that can be delivered according to high academic standards. The publication is located within the College of Engineering, and thus provides opportunities to work between specialties, and this appointed is expected to adopt.

This is a permanent position, with a starting salary of 60,996 pounds sterling – 70,239 pounds annually.

The head of the department’s department in the role is a 4 -year period, and return to a associate professor / great objective lecturer as necessary.
