We are currently looking for Big data engineer To join the rapidly growing engineering team. This role is a person who is passionate about building innovative data solutions and exposure to new challenges and technologies with an effect.

This role is available to candidates throughout Canada, with the exception of Quebec. If you are locally for one of our centers (Burnaby, Calgary or Toronto), it is expected to be in the office twice a week in the days you choose. If you are not local in our centers, you can work away all over Canada, but our offices are open to you if you want to visit them.

What your team does:

Our data engineering team is paid to provide an incredible experience for our customers. As a great data engineer, you will create data pipelines and data warehouses from zero point, in addition to providing data collections to our partner teams by writing a great production code. We move quickly, work with the latest technical technology, and we are motivated by solving complex problems.

It may seem a day in life:

  • Implementing data swallowing techniques (flow and payments) using best practices in data model
  • Design and lines of data conversion and maintenance pipelines work to integrate different data sources (flow or payment) in specific data/data warehouses
  • Cooperation with engineers to help adopt best practices in creating a data system, data integration, test design, analysis, verification, and documents
  • Development of the initial model or “proof of concept” for applications for projects where the technical solution is unknown or uninterrupted

What you may have:

  • A deep experience in software development as well as data engineering
  • Efficiency in at least one major language (such as Bethon, Scala, Ruby) and SQL, striving to write elegant and maintenable code, rest with new technologies
  • Practical experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS and Terraform is favorite)
  • Experience with data and payments: Spark, Kafka, air flow
  • Experience advanced data warehouse in work with Databricks or the like
  • The experience of creating data pipelines and infrastructure needed to publish data forms and information panels that allow data visualization
  • Exceptional cooperation and communication skills and the ability to extract clarity in mysterious environments
  • You are advocating the database and distinguishing products on the data platform you create
  • You have an interest in improving your craft with artificial intelligence
  • You are a subjective start and can lead projects with the lowest supervision

The full salary range* for this floor ranges from $ 146,200 to $ 172,000 to 197,800 dollars. In addition, benefits may vary depending on the employee’s website.

We keep the middle point to the maximum salary squad for internal employees who prove the continuous high performance and its effect on Clio. The final offer amount of this role depends on individual experience and candidate skills. Please note that there is a separate group of salary teams for other regions based on the local currency.
