Are you eager to support the nuclear material research program of national importance? We have a very exciting opportunity at the Faculty of Chemicals, Biology and Biological Engineering for a person who has a passion for nuclear materials to support the newly created academic pamonium ceramic, which was hosted by subscription between Manchester and Chaveield universities (Pumas). This position will be held for a period of five years at the University of Sheffield, which is suitable for a candidate with strong skills in treating ceramic, waste development, material disposal, and accents, keen to search for a profession in the nuclear/academic circles.

This PDRA will be placed in the freezing science laboratory at the University of Sheffield (Faculty of Chemicals, Biology and Engineering). The research collection hosts the Hades facility to take highly active engineering and science measures, which were established with an investment of one million pounds by EPSRC and Sheffield University, with modern material processing equipment and its description, to enable increased productivity and work with high offices. The facility includes the previous investment of C. 8 million pounds in the renovation of laboratories, space and equipment within the Midas facility and the Allied Royce Institute, to provide one point of the user’s arrival. Hades are accommodated in the range of 500 square meters of high -quality radio chemistry laboratories, with the latest equipment and devices to formulate materials, processing, describing and evaluating performance.

We are looking for candidates who have a doctorate (or equivalent level of research experience) in a related engineering or scientific topic in addition to knowing the chemistry of ceramic materials related to the challenges of turning off. Since this role includes working with radioactive materials, you will also need experience/knowledge of advanced description techniques.
