The Ministry of Children and Families, the Data Management and Reports Office, seeks to obtain a qualified individual to fill the position of assistant department director. This position is located in Trenton, New Jersey. This position may be eligible to work for a period of up to two days in the calendar week.
Definition: Under the supervision of the department’s director, deputy director, or another senior official in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Agency, employees and activities are directed to an operating unit responsible for providing administrative administration and/or public financial, program and planning services, or providing a variety of social and medical societies, assistance, health care and other specific customer services; Are other related duties as required.
Under the leadership of the Data Management Director and its reports, the job operator is expected to lead the institution’s data data platform in NJ DCF, and it can govern and enable analyzes, so that DCF employees, service providers and partners can rely on well -carrying and timely pregnant data to improve services for children and families. The assistant director implements the cloud data strategy (AZURE or AWS), supports practical data governance, runs a multidisciplinary technical team with partnership closely with the leadership of the program to provide high -value data products, reports, and research support.
Main responsibilities
Play an active role in implementing the NJ DCF information strategy
Implement and maintenance of the Foundation’s data catalog, data quality program with clear SLAS and published data product documents.
Design databases that can be reusable and scale (Marts domain topics, semantic models, application programming facades) for reporting, information boards, legal submission, and search partnerships; Improving data exchange with privacy protection.
Ensuring compliance with federal states/states and departments policies.
Directing the use responsible for artificial intelligence and automation to achieve efficiency and productivity gains (for example, address documents, recovery -predicted research, predicting) with handrails of privacy, bias and transparency; Partner with Legal Information Technology Security.
Leading, coach and development of a comprehensive technical team (data engineers, Devops platform, data designers, data quality/descriptive data customers); Operation of employment, performance management and functional paths.
Partner with the leaders of the program/policies to translate work needs into technical maps and deliver them; Entry management/priority and transparent wallet.
Participate in the selection of the seller and contract management; Imposing delivery standards, SLAS, and the total cost of ownership discipline, as needed.
Observation, documentation, and change management through the ecosystem of data; Follow the results, report and health standards platform.
Enhancing effective individuals management; Providing training and guidance for all levels of employees within the data management office and its reports.
Maintaining currently with changes in federal and state laws and regulations that affect division, programs or services; Then advise to the director of the potential effect.
Create a communication and maintenance of cooperative labor relations with other private and private agencies whose operations or services affect the department.
DMR and/or DCF represent meetings, conferences or other gatherings.
Management of work operations and/or job programs, preparing and signing official performance assessments of employees, with an effective recommendation for employees, shooting, promotion, and reduced and disciplined employees.
Building and maintaining a healthy and professional work environment for the team.
Performing other additional duties as set.
The minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, data science/analyzes, engineering, or relevant field (master’s favorite).
· More than 10 years in the roles of data engineering/analyzes/articles of association (Plus Public Sector Experience), including more than 5 years, managing technical teams.
Experience the process of teaching and operating the cloud data platforms on Azure and/or AWS; SQL Strong in addition to the Python Language Language (Favorite Python); Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as Cherry.
Fabricated data governance (politics, supervision, catalog/proportions, data quality).
Knowing the work of the concepts of artificial intelligence/ml and the practical practices of the responsible intelligence; The ability to make practical moral use in the government.
Excellent communication skills, facilitation and management of stakeholders; The ability to translate between artistic and non -artistic audiences.
Favorite qualifications
Experienced in the leading data teams in child care, behavioral health, medicaid, or broader humanitarian health and services.
Federal/Governmental reporting courses, providers data, and data sharing agreements between agencies.
Experience with open data programs and API design to share public sector data.
Experience with data, Spark, DBT, Terraform, Kubernetes, or components of the equivalent of modern equivalent data.
Requirements: Applicants must fulfill one of the following or a mixture of experience and education. 31 (30) the semester clock balances equal to one year (1) years of relevant experience.
