The Department of Environmental Sciences and Policy at Miami Rosenstiel of Maritime Sciences, Atmospheric and Earth Sciences employ a 9 -month records to teach and provide support for diving operations in schools. Responsibilities include teaching approximately six chapters linked annually to scientific diving, UnderwaterExploration sciences, including current training courses at the level of university and graduate studies, with at least two new sessions are developed focusing on using underwater techniques to search to support the path of exploration of deputies.

Looking at the artistic nature of this position, this person will work closely with a supportive role in the diving safety office, and is devoted to approximately 50 % of his time for activities related to this office. They will also develop specialized field classes to provide unique opportunities in experimental learning for university students and graduate studies. The desired knowledge and skills of this position include the policy of submerged cultural resources management, a set of underwater archeology technologies, the teacher’s status for scientific emergency and diving, familiarity with analytical laboratory techniques, photographs measurement, and field work logistics.

PhD in a related field required.

• It should be currently scientific diver and first aid coach/CPR
• You should be aware of the methods, procedures, policies and practices as shown in AAUS standards and the standards of exempting scientific diving OSHA
• You should be aware of the rules and regulations of federal, state and local diving
• You should be aware of the planning of local and external diving missions, on the ships and the beach, and the project planning
• You should be aware of the application of a variety of techniques for collecting scientific underwater data for a variety of scientific disciplines.
