Deputy Director of Planning, Conservation and Division
About the section
The Omda Office for Strategic Planning and Community Development (OSPCD) is the Planning and Development Agency for the city of Summeril. The OSPCD mission is to improve the life of everyone in Somerville by facilitating and maintaining stable housing, finding high -quality jobs, starting business; Building safe and healthy streets and public spaces; And direct how the neighborhoods can change for the better while maintaining what makes Someller unique. The Planning and Maintaining Division of Regions (PPZ) works by the director, deputy director, three senior planners, five planners, communication coordinators and an administrative assistant. PPZ basic functions include:
- Integration with the community of Summerille residents, companies and institutions to develop long -term plans to direct future urban development, government policy, and make decisions to improve capital with the development of the city.

Duties Statement

Basic duties and responsibilities

- Supervising the review of permits requests by OSPCD employees and other city departments.

- Establishing, maintaining and managing the training program on the department
- Create and maintain section division and graphical standards
- Research and developing improvements in division processes and procedures
- Supervising the preparation of the required documents, submitting and maintaining them

- Providing strategic advice and recommendations for politics to the department director, CEO of Ospcd and the elected and appointed officials.

The minimum qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, city, or Urban planningCivil engineering, landscape engineering, urban design, or relevant field; It prefers a master’s degree

- Knowledge of the relevant planning and development issues of Somapel.
- The ability to read, interpret and analyze development plans, drawings, studies and similar technical documents.
- Book and oral communication skills are excellent.
Work environment
The work environment includes the typical daily harassment of offices, with the accidental exposure to external elements. The noise or material ocean may be dispersed, but the conditions are generally unpleasant. The employee may be asked to work after regular working hours to attend evening meetings.
