Post -PhD/Chemistry colleague (a fixed period) at the University of Nottingham

We are looking for a post -researcher participant in the doctorate motivation and enthusiasm in analytical chemistry with an interest in a new approach to monitoring the manufacture of organic chemicals. This post will include the application of a set of spectral technologies to the new flow reactor designs developed at the University of Nottingham. The project’s vision is to apply continuous reactors, including continuous optical chemistry, chemistry and thermal chemistry to transform how to manufacture chemicals and microscopic drugs (see, for example, applied spectral analysis (2022) 76, 38-50; 2022) 1145-1151; This post is available to start immediately and all projects must lead to highly influential publications.
The publication will include laboratory -based research in Nottingham. A successful candidate will have the first degree in chemistry or chemical engineering and will be in the process of obtaining a relevant doctorate and a proven record in successful research. They will be known for strong communications skills and a work capacity as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will be enthusiastic about changing instead of repetition and gaining satisfaction with finding ways that they can contribute to the success of these advanced projects. The required skills required are experience in chemical measurements, analyzes and product description techniques including nuclear magnetic resonance. The experience in the advanced treatment of analytical data will be desirable.
The appointed person will join a multidisciplinary team working at the University of Nottingham in chemistry and engineering. The projects are headed by Professor Mike George and also includes Professor Martin Poliacov (chemistry).

The situation will be presented on a fixed contract for 18 months to start as soon as possible. The working hours will be full (36.25 per week).
