UWE admission advisor, Bristol

It is located in the employment and marketing service for students, which is a crowded role as you will have the responsibility to review requests and take the offer decisions for your courses wallet.

Obtaining the right applicants registered in the correct courses is essential for all activities that students employ, and this role is vital in achieving this as being aware of your courses and time processing decisions in a timely manner that is very important in a competitive market.

In addition to reviewing the requests that are in line with the criteria for entering our published course, you will also participate in occupational health (OH), confirm admission to studies examinations, will have the opportunity to represent the university in open days and UCAS exhibitions, and will serve as a link and source of information for other professional services.

The admission role in the UK’s recruitment and admission department will sit as part of the broader employment and marketing service.

About you:

We are looking for a person with strong customer service and excellent attention to detail with an excited commitment to enhance the applicant’s experience. You must also have excellent and proactive organizational skills.

We use a number of information technology systems such as Microsoft Office, sitting (admission database) and a number of external databases, so comfort with IT systems and the ability of new technologies is necessary.

We are always keen to provide opportunities for employees for training, whether for vocational or personal development, and many of the holders of previous publications have used knowledge acquired in the team to move to other roles in employing students and marketing or the broader UWE community.

This is a part -time permanent function of 18.5 hours per week.
