Child Development School at the University (UCDS) in Seattle, Washington is an independent school that serves 390+ children/small child, an early primary program (pre -school, pre -ordergarten, kindergarten) and primary students (from first -class to five). In addition, the UCDS Education Foundation includes UCDS. UCDs uniquely prepare teachers, educate children, develop innovations in curricula and teaching. The unique UCDS design as a place in which both teachers and children learn, where teachers develop early their practice, and since the curricula of teachers with experience and design lead to their innovation. The Master’s Program in Education is the development of the deep UCDS history in the development and support of exceptional teachers.


Summary of the job

Teachers promote support for individual learning learning for UCDS students. They are cooperative members of the faculty members, and they work alongside the teachers of the semester to support the success of students. Teachers provide learning support directly to the Director of Student and Family Support, providing a wide range of services under their supervision. They may support students ’growth indirectly by providing additional strategies for classroom teachers, or they may work directly with students to help them accomplish tasks in class and/or academic skills. Learning support teachers are constantly looking for new tools and strategies, and the exchange of these resources with their colleagues in planning and employment meetings. They are working closely with classroom teachers to maintain systems for evaluating and documenting students’ growth and documenting active participants in determining the best steps to enhance this growth. Educational support supports teachers communication between school and families by participating in parents ’conferences/guardian. It also contributes to their efforts in the annual school endeavors, such as the unified test and the admission process.

Basic duties and responsibilities

  • Disading the individual students ’goals indirectly by supporting teachers and curricula, and by working directly with students
  • Design and adapting individual students’ support strategies with changing student needs
  • Be a cooperative member in each educational team
  • Participation actively in planning meetings
  • Participation in parents’ conferences/guardian, as needed

  • Help with internal workshops and internal services

  • Planning and implementing the instructions of the small group integrated into the curriculum (for example, language groups, mathematics skills groups, etc.)

Education and/or experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or private education or a related field; Please graduate degree
  • 3+ years of experience in teaching
