Role:

We are looking for a Devops specialist for operational systems with a focus on solving problems, monitoring and analysis. This is a wide role in satellite operations as MDA Space is a pioneer in the industry. Your skills in solving the lead center will take the lead with creating preventive solutions and the routine will help MDA Space to maintain global service. Responsibilities

• Required to complete the simulation training and join the satellite operations team on the basis of rotation. Most of the time, this position is normal working hours, 5 days a week, but sometimes there is an additional effort from normal working hours, that is, some night work and weekend is required to restore satellite or Earth systems to nominal processes.
• Performing spacecraft monitoring; The process of resolving anomalies and recovery as required.
• Performing ground systems monitoring; The decision of anomalies and reform as required. This includes maintenance visits to the basic antenna.
• Conducting analysis and assessments on the components and functions of the satellite system and the land to ensure the nominal performance of the system. Provide recommendations to address new restrictions or issues to lead operations and customers.
• The technical interaction with the contractors of the subcontractor, customers, and internal stakeholders as required for a new lack of visible before abnormal cases, and the failure of the devices.

• Participate in purchase, installation, formation and managing specialized devices as needed.
• Install devices, networks and operating systems as required for improvements or replace the work station.

• Cooperation with the project team and the sub -contractors from the visualization, development, testing and issuance of programs/updates to improve the system as needed.

• Strong interest in satellite systems, satellite operations, and awareness of space.
• Strong attention to details and care when issuing orders to the satellite.
• The ability to learn quickly to function and take advantage of your experiences and knowledge.
• An excellent general problem in photography, problem solving, creative and critical thinking skills.
• A university degree in technical discipline, preferably in the fields of computer science, information technology or engineering. The grades will also be considered in the fields of science, technology, engineering and other mathematics.
• At least two years of experience after graduates in the operations environment, systems development, Devops, SR, or systems management, preferably with exposure to spacecraft operations
• Strong computer skills, including software development (Java) and Windows / Linux system.
• Experiment in Windows and Linux.
• Experience with POSTGRES systems.
• Experience in high availability and recovery systems.
• The ability to install physical equipment such as shelves servers, storage, energy distribution, cooling, network equipment, work stations and screens as needed. This includes lifting heavy equipment (about 50 pounds), climbing stairs, and working in the open air system of the antenna.
• A flexible team player, with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.
