The history section of King’s College London is an internationally recognized center to study the history of the world. Our university curriculum presents students to the history of the world from the early Middle Ages to the present time; Then it provides students with paths to study each continent during the second and last years. Providing our MA is similarly broad, as students experience in modern and modern medieval history. We are an intellectual home to scientists every region in the world, who use methods ranging from local micro -staples to a wide range. We especially appreciate the conversation between different periods of periods and places, with different ways.

About the role:

The Ministry of History seeks to appoint a lecturer in Irish/British modern history. This post is a temporary date for 16 months, starting on January 1, 2026. It arises as a result of Dr. Conor Morisi at a professional break. Posolder is expected to take place in Irish and/or British history. Their educational responsibilities will include the teaching of the units that Dr. Morrisi could have provided, specifically the “Irish Revolution, 1912-1923” and “Northern Ireland problems”, as well as objective objective unity such as “war” or “states”. Postholder is also expected to contribute to surveying units and graduate studies for graduate studies and graduate studies, and to the administration management.

The strong research record, excellent educational ability, skills of dealing with others and a cooperative spirit are necessary for this role.

This is a full -time post (35 hours a week), and the successful contract will be presented for a specified period until April 30, 2027.

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to get the following skills and experience:

Basic standards

  • Doctorate qualified in the field of the relevant topic
  • Excellent research experience and registration in Irish and/or modern history, in relation to the functional stage
  • The ability to teach university units and graduate studies in modern Irish history as well as modern British history
  • Dur -role teaching experience
  • The ability to involve students, and support their learning and well -being through their testimony
  • Some experience in effective, unitary academic management, academic networks and/or external
  • The ability to involve students, and support their learning and well -being through their testimony
  • Evidence of a cooperative spirit, and the ability to work the team and enthusiasm to participate with other colleagues

Desired criteria

  • Student teaching and support experience at the graduate levels
