Corpinos University is one of the leading universities in Hungary in business, administration, economics and social sciences. We are in the amazing UNESCO Heritage Building overlooking the Danube, in the heart of Budapest. We have about 7,000 students, including about 1,600 international.
We have been granted accreditation by EFMD and EAPAA, and we are the only Hungarian University that has two international institutional accreditation by AACSB and AmbA. Currently, we are working to obtain Equis’s accreditation to become the only Hungarian University with a crown trio. In addition, we are members of many international networks such as CEMS, BSIS, PRME and CFA.

Corpinos University is looking for an internationally recognized researcher in the economy or a related field with a multidisciplinary view and enthusiasm to enhance research cooperation to head its institute for the economy and increase the strengthening of its position as a pioneering center for economic thought and analysis in the eastern region of central Europe. The appointment will be at the level of the professor or the auxiliary level.
the Economy Institute Founded in 2019. The institute provides a global and high -quality competitive education through undergraduate and master’s programs, and is underway in the partial, overall and applied economy. Faculty members publish in the higher international magazines and actively participate in the global academic society. The institute’s educational programs are combined with problem -based learning, experimental curricula, teaching small groups, and individual learning methods. The research program aims to make a great contribution to international scientific discourse.

The lion’s share of educational responsibilities is related to the following academic programs:
General responsibilities include the heads of the institute:
- Development Department and Implementation of the Institute’s strategy that will be compatible with the university’s institutional development plan, Bridge strategy.
- Providing leadership in teaching, research and innovation activities within the institute, including the promotion and introduction of the internationally recognized major academic programs,
- Enhancing national and international research grants,
- Enhancing multidisciplinary cooperation inside and outside the university.
- Supporting professional development for colleagues
- Establishing and implementing an international employment strategy that increases the quality of the institute; Merging new employees into society
- Motivating and supporting colleagues to increase the quality and performance of the institute
- Cooperation with the deans and leadership of the study program in allocating teaching duties.
- Submit reports to the institute’s meeting on the institute’s activity and the institute’s strategy and implement it every year.
- Requesting the opinion of the institute’s council regarding the institute’s strategy, its annual work plan and its report, and the plans of human resources development as well as before the strategic importance decisions.
The employer of the head of the institute is the Vice President of the University for faculty and research members. The head of the institute is an executive employee.
Currently, the work of the institute’s president is assisted by deputies, who manage vocational coordination of teaching and research activities within the institute. Representatives report to the head of the institute. The head of the institute has the right to change this governance system and introduce the structure of departments. The department heads are responsible for vocational coordination of educational activities and research within departments. Head of the reports department to the head of the institute.
Employment type: Full time, a fixed -term executive position in accordance with university employment requirements and the first 2012 law on Hungary’s Labor Code. The executive date is a fixed period that lasts until June 30, 2029.

Application requirements
- Employment at the leading education institution or research as a university professor, research professor, associate professor or oldest research colleague.
- Doctorate (PhD) in economics, public policy, or relevant discipline
- A distinguished research record proven by publications, certificates and grants.
- At least two years of executive experience or leadership (such as a department head, dean or higher).
- Efficiency in English at the professional level.
Required competencies:
- A record installed in strengthening multidisciplinary research, which is evident from the leading teams in the field of cooperative research, grant applications, joint authorship or development curriculum.
- Introduction with strategic thinking and strategic change tools.
- Preparing to implement the organizational change
- Enabling and stimulating the leadership position.
- Coordination and cooperation skills.
- The ability and interest in working in a diverse regulatory environment.
- Commitment to community participation, as evidenced by the general awareness record.

- Personal documents:
- Vocational CV including the list of publications, with the main publications related to the current app.
- The motivation letter explains how and why the institute will benefit from the agenda of the applicant’s research and its leadership
- Three leaflets reviewed by peers related to the situation
- A certificate of good behavior issued during the past three months, including the assertion that the applicant is not subject to employment restrictions
- Announcement of the readiness to submit a financial disclosure statement (no standard model).
- Declaration of other labor relations and the conflicts of potential interests (internal applicants who have already submitted the announcement of conflicts between interests through the university platform on the Internet and have not had any changes since then they did not need to be re -submitted).
- Employee statement on the conflict of personal interests.
- Copies of documents that prove the required qualifications and experiences, including language mastery certificates. If the doctorate is obtained abroad, a certificate is required
- Professional and leadership concepts (4-6 pages), including:
- Seeing the place of the institute in the scene of regional, European and global research, building on its current strengths and determining the trends for development, is in line with the institution’s institutional development plan, Bridge strategy.
- Strategic initiatives and work plans related to the development of faculty members, research directions, activities and international/local/local cooperation within universities.
- Description and justification of the final changes in the institute’s structure (optional).
Salary and benefits
