Description

Dr. Borba Mukherji Applications from enthusiastic individuals call for a full -time participating position for a doctorate in the Department of Chemistry. This position is funded by the Epsrc Fellowship with an initial period for 18 months with the possibility of extension.

You will participate in the development of a multi -enzyme group of enzymatic DNA synthesis, which is characterized by the use of a multidisciplinary approach including the design of the protein library, the annexation of one -molecule (SMFRET), the mass spectrum, the enzyme movement and the atomic power microscope (AFM). It is necessary to know the enzymes of the DNA modification, especially the DNA/RNA, and enzymatic protein assemblies.

The necessary skills, experience and qualifications

  • Doctorate degree in biochemistry, biological engineering, structural biology or equivalent experience
  • Excellent knowledge of the biochemistry of copying/copying to engage in high -quality research
  • The enthusiasm for multidisciplinary research related to multi -enzyme systems, enzyme engineering and nuclear acid synthesis
  • The spirit of cooperative, positive position and commitment to personal development
  • A practical experience in the design, generation and analysis of the protein/peptide library
  • Oral communication skills are excellent and able to write research work for publication
