We are calling for applications for the role of the search assistant who works in an exciting zigzag project aimed at identifying new small molecular vehicles – equipped with LNCRNA participating in neurological degenerative pathogens. You will join the research team in Dr. Tatiana Shilkovnikova, based at the Sheffield Institute of Translation Neuroscience (Citran) at Sheffield University.

You will play a major role in supporting biology in a translation project funded by the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation and aims to determine new small particles targeting the RNA -related diseases. The candidate will work alongside a team of chemists in repetitive courses to test a new boat in a variety of laboratory and cellular biases.

It is expected that, under the guidance of PI, to conduct the development of the examination and analysis of the complex activity, collect the results and the current team meetings and grant reports, attend laboratory and conference meetings and contribute to other activities in the group as needed (for example supervising student projects).

You will have a master’s degree in biology discipline (such as cell biology, biology, neuroscience, etc.) and experience in neurology projects related to neurological and/or modeling research. You should be experienced in cultivation of nervous models and studies of RNA. The ideal candidate will have a background in the development of the examination, including cellular tests, with a well 96 format, as well as high -content and/or longitudinal and cellular analysis. You should be very enthusiastic and cooperation.

You will be placed in a vibrant and multi -skilled team of 10, where you will be able to reach your full potential as a translation researcher aimed at improving the understanding of human nerve degeneration and finding promising treatment options. The publication will be primarily on the campus (some of the hybrid works possible) and comes with the travel allowance for conferences.
