introduction

This exciting opportunity arose on one of the most famous Scotland rivers. TDSFB is the legal body responsible for preserving, protecting and enhancing Atlantic salmon, salmon fisheries across the Tai River and water gatherings (Tayrivers.org).

Description

TDSFB is involved in a bold new strategy, to support the new wild salmon strategy of the Scottish government, to help reflect the decline in the thickness of the iconic Atlantic salmon. Also, to ensure denial of our legal obligations, we are working closely with environmental organizations.

Thus, we aim to improve the broader landscape, so that wildlife can flourish throughout the water gatherings.

TDSFB is looking for an ambitious, innovative and paid person who has the ability to move TDSFB to the next level as a new manager. In doing this, they will have a passion to help save the iconic Atlantic salmon.

We are looking for a natural leader to join our team. They will be a skilled and constructive alignment, able to put and implement the strategy and generate confidence within their team and a large number of organizations in which the Board of Directors participates.

Its headquarters in Barthchire, the director will submit a report to the council’s organizer and be responsible for the executive implementation and representation of all strategies and wide activities in the board of directors with the management and inspiration of a successful team.

Responsibilities and duties

Leadership and management

  • It works as a manager for TDSFB
  • Font management for all employees for TDSFB.
  • Work in partnership with the TDSFB writer to ensure that all the council’s legal duties and reports are accurately and timely
  • Developing a water gatherings management plan and the policy of preserving Atlantic salmon, protection, protection and reinforcement throughout the Tai River gatherings for approval by the Board of Directors. Responsible for subsequent implementation and reporting in a monthly report to the Board of Directors at every meeting of the Board of Directors.
  • The responsibility of all aspects related to the health and safety of employees in conducting their work during the water gatherings, including policy, equipment, its annual service, its protective clothes, and the maintenance of risk assessments.
  • Responsibility for the total operations of the TDSFB and Kelt regeneration program, including managing, supervising and developing the Hanciner staff.

Communications and education

  • Effective communication and publicity of all aspects of the Board of Directors’ work on its website and social media channels, as well as local and national press (newspaper and television).

Acting and pressure

  • An effective representation of the TDSFB policies and goals of the Scottish government, its agencies (SEPA, Naturescot, Scottish Water, Forests, Londing, Scottish Forests), local authorities (Percth, Kinross Communers/Community Commands, and Community Commundys.
  • TDSFB is represented in meetings with environmental government agencies and private institutions regarding water activities, barrier removal, fish and monitoring corridor throughout the water gatherings.
  • TDSFB is represented in Scotland’s police partnership meetings against wildlife crimes and partnership against rural crime
  • TDSFB is represented in Tay River Trust meetings and in other custom meetings as required

Enforcement

  • In addition to managing the lines of the preparatory lines/fisheries in the board of directors, and pre -emptive participation in enforcement cases, including the accidental attendance in and support the board of directors’ response to illegal fishing accidents, and employees supporting the preparation for the subsequent appearances of the court.

Control of predation and other licensing

  • Submit the annual Sawbill duck license request. The organization and implementation of the Sawbill duck in the Tay River includes every year, followed by a license application with basic, comprehensive supportive information.
  • Submit the annual BROODSTOCK license request to support the Board of Directors, including the complete application form, abstraction license, summary of the proposed brood capacity sites, proposed storage sites and intensity for the next year, and a summary of storage of electrical installation data and comprehensive habitats.

  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of TDSFB, financial management, including:
    • Licensing and processing payment for all bills related to the above and allocating appropriate accounting.
    • Collecting annual budgets, including income and expenses.
    • Connecting contact with accountants and reports to the council on a quarterly basis on income and expenditures for the previous quarter and annual at the end of the year, including the cash flow.

general

  • The quarterly reports to the Board of Directors on all aspects of the work of the Board of Directors, including financing.
  • Organizing and facilitating the annual general meeting of TDSFB
  • Distribute the annual TDSFB annual report using desktop publishing programs and connecting to the TDSFB Publishing Officer.
  • Responding to official complaints, including subsequent reports to the council and summarizing the annual report.
  • In cooperation with the council official, overseeing the reform and maintenance of the offices of the Council and the Bakhtat buildings, including the annual rental review and the allocation of the budget.

Skills and background

The postal holder is likely to be qualified to the level of certificate or what is equivalent, but the correct character is also very important.

  • Good knowledge of river habitors and perfect salmon

  • Knowledge of practical and safety in work and preparing risk assessments.
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Understand financial accounting.
  • Full driving license.

The following qualities are desirable:

  • Knowledge and/or efficiency of fish fisheries and land management
  • Understanding nature financing
  • Understanding climate crises and biological diversity.
  • The desire for continuous professional development.
