About recycling the alternative and your role inside

Alternative recycling is a social, enthusiastic work to reduce waste in our society and commit to “transforming our wasteful roads.” We work with our customers and customers to manage and reduce their waste by designing the program of best practices, innovation, information, education, and participation, including excellence in providing services. This position will support the implementation of operating components and the main customer service for the important residential pavement collection.

Customer service representative

Alternative Recycling (RA) will start in the service of the multi -unit housing recycling group in downtown Vancouver and FALSE in early 2026. This position is the main customer service representative for residential assembly services. Most customer inquiries from real estate and communications managers will come on the site, with some calls from the population and the general public around the service. This position will sit on the link of customer service and logistical services, ensuring that operations respond to the services of the customer service. This position will start before starting the contract to support the logistics team in putting the finishing touches on the details of access to the site, coordinating the Jitney (withdrawal) services, and creating customer service procedures. With the start of the contract, this position will respond to customer inquiries and support for transmission and logistical teams with re -guidance when necessary. As a major connection between the customer and our operating team, you will be responsible for reporting the main standards that will reach how we do as a team to serve this contract. This role will also be trained to support commercial assembly for recycling as an alternative to providing backup support when needed.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Computer skills and refrigerated equipment
  • Software experience; Google Suite, Microsoft Office, SharePoint
  • Customer Service Skills – I am sure to speak on the phone, personally, and via email
  • Very details are directed and comprehensive
  • Experience or attention to recycling or sustainable waste management

Work conditions

  • The situation is 40 hours per week, a permanent position. From Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
  • The salary is $ 49,920
  • The work site is the alternative office for recycling in 449 Industrial Avenue, Vancouver BC
  • The work depends primarily on the office, but it may include some customer visits outside the office
