Associate researcher III-V (fixed period) at Cambridge University

Assistant Researcher/Researcher is seeking to develop effective solar cells very flexible for space applications within the physics department under the supervision of Professor Louise Hurst.
In this role, the successful candidate will develop new practical methodologies for the manufacture of the superior II-V at the Cavendish nano center at the Ray Dolby Center, the new home of physics in Cambridge. This will include the design of new practical flows to manufacture high space devices and larger performance, and flexibility in hostile conditions in space environments, focusing on monotheism and reproduction.
They will use techniques including quantum efficiency, light and darkness IV to describe the performance of the devices fabricated and connect with the device and optical simulation to determine the design restrictions.
The particle radiation test for devices will take place and use space environment simulation tools to estimate performance for technically important task files.
The successful candidate (or to be about to obtain) will retain a doctorate in physics or a close field with a busy record in following up an independent scientific investigation.
Preference will be given to expertise in simulation, manufacturing and description of solar cells based on II-V material systems. It is also advisable to be the justified ability to write reports, submit results and contribute to academic papers and experience in managing the special work burden.
Installed organizational and group work skills are also desirable.
