Participant Researcher – Nervous imaging analysis (fixed term) at Cambridge University

We seek to appoint a researcher to join the age of a tooth psychiatry at Cambridge University. A successful candidate will work on nervous imaging analysis projects using multimedia magnetic imaging and PET photography through many continuous studies. The primary focus will be the study of the prevention of the completion, which is the study of long -site multi -site dust looking at the middle age risk of dementia. This study includes the follow -up of 700 participants who underwent clinical and cognitive evaluations and MR 3T brain photography in three time points. The appointed one will analyze the longitudinal multimedia photography data including structural serials, DTI, Noddi, ASL and Resting-State, functional magnetic resonance task, MRS, and Alyloid Pet Imaging, as well as blood biologists and CSF. Responsibilities also include data transfer, quality control and arrangement of photography data from study sites.
Additional opportunities include contributing to the study of PRESE -SPURE -RUCBY, which examines nervous imaging data from 150 pensioners and retired football players, studies of dementia in the body and Alzheimer’s disease. These projects close to the infrared spectral analysis (NIRS), MR and PET photography with firm links and a novel targeting amyloid, Tao, intertwined density, and infections. The results will enhance the understanding of early brain changes in dementia and support the development of new vital indicators.
Professor John Operation, the postal team will work in the research group, a vibrant multidisciplinary team of basic and secret scientists who manage vital signs and clinical studies. The group is part of the theme of Nihr Cambridge Biomedical Research Smeferia and the theme of nervous degeneration and closely cooperated with teams in psychiatry, clinical neuroscience, psychology, engineering, and external partners such as the UK dementia and European E-DLB union.
The main responsibilities include designing and conducting photography studies, data analysis, manuscript preparation, and supervision of novice researchers. Candidates should keep or they are about to finish a doctorate degree in nervous imaging, medical imaging, biomedical engineering, arithmetic neuroscience, or a related field. Candidates waiting for VIVA will be appointed on the scale of a researcher until a doctorate confirmation.
Basic skills include brain imaging analysis and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams. The desired experience includes programming (EG, Matlab, Python, R), experience in the nervous imaging program (EG, SPM, FreeSurfer, FSL, AFNI), multimedia data integration, and familiarity with prior data for longitudinal data and statistical analysis.
The successful candidate will be asked to undergo an examination of the detection service, the prohibition of service and a research passport. Taking into account the financing, the role may be extended.

The appointment at the level of the researcher is based on obtaining a doctorate degree. Those who presented a doctorate will be appointed but not yet received as an assistant researcher (grade 5, point 38 34,132 pounds sterling) who move to a researcher (grade 7) when confirming the doctoral award.
