About the role

This role provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of extremist search for cars as part of IAAPS-a global research center that leads innovation in fair payment and movement. As part of Bath University’s commitment to clear engineering, it will contribute to transformational research in fuel cell systems – which helps to form the future of sustainable transport.

You will join an expert team working on the digital twin for the electrical propulsion system for hydrogen as part of a government -funded project in cooperation with a leading industrial partner.

As a major member of the project team, the successful candidate will:

  • Development and refinement of simulation models Of payment systems using 1D and 3D tools to collect thermal behavior, fluids and performance.
  • Design and implementation of hybrid twin structureInclude physics -based models with sensory sensor data and digital processing components.
  • Cooperation through disciplines With engineers, data scientists and industry partners to participate in developing solutions that are in line with the priorities of space innovation in the United Kingdom.
  • Publish the results Through high -quality technical reports, academic publications and presentations in national and international events.

As a member of research staff at Bath University, you will be encouraged to obtain at least 10 days for professional development of professionals per year.

Basic skills and experience

  • Experience in thermal modeling and performance using tools such as Simulink, GT-Suite, Simcentter, or the like.
  • Efficiency in Matlab/Simulink and/or Python to simulate text programming and system analysis.
  • The ability to explain sensor data and verify the authenticity of models in exchange for experimental or field data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to document and present research.

Desired traits

  • Experience in developing digital twins and integrating data in actual time.
  • Understanding control systems, including dynamic response and operator restrictions.
  • Introduction with CFD/FEA tools for heat and structural analysis.
  • A busy record for multidisciplinary cooperation, especially with AI, controls or devices teams.
  • Knowledge of a staple of fuel cells and modeling the balance component between the plant

There is a full -term Adwan (36.5 hours per week) for a fixed period for 6 months
