This position includes an administrative leadership role as director of Al -Ansari Institute for Global Audilation with ReligionIt is devoted to studying and learning from religious societies and cooperating with them all over the world. The Ansari Institute hosts large -scale works, including research, teaching, communication and interaction with religious societies, faith and civil leaders, academics, journalists, and the general public.

The ideal candidate will be a distinguished researcher in the role of religion and/or faith in the formation of conflict and reconciliation, including, but not limited to religious violence, religious tensions, transitional justice, memory and shock, the role of religious institutions or religious organizations, ideas, institutions or philosophies in peace processes. Candidates must deal with these issues through strict disciplinary training in areas such as history, political science, international relations, sociology, anthropology, or related areas. We welcome scientists who have a regional or global comparative perspective, as well as those whose research is both studies of historical and contemporary status.

The ideal candidate will also have a record of multidisciplinary research, institutional leadership, and commitment to general participation. As director of the ANSARI Institute, they will provide an intellectual and strategic leadership for Ansari, direct its research agenda, supervision of external grants and programming, and cooperate with other units at Keage School and at the university on a wider scale. This is a full -time date, with administrative responsibilities and teaching expectations at the level of university level and graduate studies.

The professor will be based in Quio SchoolWhich enhances multidisciplinary research and is related to policies on critical issues in global affairs, transformational educational programs, and partnerships for global participation. Keage School is close to global affairs and development by focusing on integrated human development (IHD), which is also essential for the mission of the University of Notre Dame. Keage School offers scientific degrees at the level of university, master’s and doctorate level. The duties of the situation include research, teaching and service. The situation is expected to start in August 2026.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a doctorate in history, political science, sociology, anthropology, or a close field, with clear experience in religion and global affairs.

A successful candidate is expected to have a record of distinguished scholarship and education that deserves appointment at the level of the full professor, and communication with the religious dimensions of peace and conflict appears, including, but not limited to reconciliation or religious nationalism, or religious pluralism in divided societies, education and change in disciplines.
