We are seeking a very talented researcher and teacher and have distinguished capabilities to bring in exciting new views to study and teach animal behavior at Oxford University. This publication is presented by the Ministry of Biology in cooperation with the Merton College, where it will be the first place as an official and teacher.

Associate Professor is the main academic job class in Oxford. Assistant professors take responsibility for leading a successful research program and being an enthusiastic and attractive teacher. Associate professors are jointly appointed by the University Faculty Department/and the Oxford College, and you will have a contract with both.

The successful applicant will conduct high -quality research in: animal perception; Molecular neuroscience (such as genome, postum, creation) and physiological mechanisms on which behavior is based (such as neurological physiology, metabolism). We are especially interested in experienced applicants and research interests in animal -inspired robots, social and collective behavior, machine learning and nerve networks, invertebrate model systems, and the sensory environment, but candidates who have excellence in any field of animal behavior will be considered. Pregnant women will add complementary experience to traditional strengths in animal behavior research and will contribute to teaching animal behavior and animal biology at both levels of university and graduate studies. This includes providing high -quality lessons for university students at Merton College.
