the school

The College of Computing and Engineering at West London University has been recognized for innovation in both research and teaching. The school offers a vibrant academic community with courses that extend on computing, engineering, multimedia and audio technologies. The multimedia and virtual reality develops rapid areas inside the school and plays a major role in supporting the university’s academic and research agenda.

The school works closely with industry partners via creative media, games, health care, and engineering, where immersive technologies are increasingly applied to design, simulation and user experience. The school also contributes to the FARINGDON Center for non -destructive tests, which combines advanced facilities with multidisciplinary expertise to support applied research, innovation and institutions.

Role

We seek to appoint a lecturer in multimedia and virtual reality to enhance teaching, research and professional practice in overwhelming techniques.

Postholder:

  • Providing an attractive education at the levels of university stage and postgraduate studies in multimedia, VR/AR, and overwhelming media.
  • Contribute to the development of curricula in computing and creative technology courses.
  • Develop a high -quality research portfolio and the ability to secure external financing.
  • Building cooperation with industry, professional bodies and search networks to enhance influence.
  • Supervising student projects and providing support for job development.

Person

Applicants must obtain a doctorate degree in multimedia, virtual reality or a close field (or experience in the equivalent industry) and have experience in teaching in higher education.

They must be proven:

  • A busy record in high -quality and/or creative outputs in VR/AR technologies or overwhelming technologies.
  • Teaching experience and design curricula in multimedia and virtual reality.
  • The ability to cooperate with industrial or creative partners, with evidence of influence.
  • Strong communication, personal skills, and commitment to supporting a comprehensive academic environment.
