My second visit to this coastal city was on the Adriatic Sea. The last time it was for the wedding of close friends. This time, one of their daughters, 34 years later. 34 years ago, I was barely accidental runner … this time, after that Do not work much while pressing Rome and the Vatican On my way, I managed to press two of 25 thousand running between celebrations and social gatherings, not bad.

One of these was clear and direct, literal and metaphor. Literally because the beach is a straight line of about 10 miles. Liggering because it is the safest place to run, in side tracks almost without interruption. My other career was on the rural side, on the roads, and that was a completely different endeavor.

The nearby hills are amazing: in every turn, or rather every high point on the hills, you will find a village in the Middle Ages with castles, churches and homes in primitive conditions, after 10 to 7 centuries after its construction! While there are a lot of rubble in Rome, this field has avoided most wars, and thus the level of preservation. How to transport you in the Middle Ages!

From the point of view of running, this means that some climbing completely to move from one of these villages to the other, and through the valleys. But the real challenge, wise security, is, of course, avoiding cars on narrow and narrow back roads. Many people live in these villages and move to San Bendito, so traffic is very important. Although I trust the Italians of driving headlines and light movement, it is the blind curves that are considered dangerous. Even running on the left to see the traffic received. In many turns, the road is very narrow, there is no shoulder to escape to it. I just say ‘, I refuse any responsibility if I follow my path on these roads, and to chase these landscapes, visits, and training on the hill.
