About the role

As a part-time electrical/engineering/engineering teacher (22.2 hours per week), you will play a major role in preparing trainees for successful professions with Rolls-Royce submarines and the broader supply chain. You will plan, hand over and evaluate high -quality teaching and learning in electrical engineering, combine training in practical skills and the basis theory for the development of knowledge, skills and behaviors required by industry and vocational training standards. Using advanced facilities at the Nuclear Skills Academy, you will provide practical education, design attractive educational materials, both individually and in groups. You will also support the trainees in the inclusion of English behaviors, mathematics and professional behaviors, ensuring that they are well prepared to assess the end point. By working cooperatively with colleagues, employers and stakeholders, it will contribute to continuous growth and the effect of the Nuclear Skills Academy while ensuring the trainees’ support to achieve their best.

About you

It will bring professional experience in electrical engineering, with support from the relevant professional qualifications at level 3, 4 (or higher). With experience in work in industry and/or additional education, you will have a strong understanding to provide vocational training and the ability to hand over learners, and to evaluate learners at a high level. Ideally, you will hold a qualification for teaching (or be ready to work for level 5) and have experience in evaluation and verification. You will be a cooperative team player who appreciates work with colleagues and employers to provide a series of smooth training, with confident in supporting the trainees individually to achieve their goals. Above all, you will be passionate about the help of the trainees to succeed, as it combines your technical expertise, a commitment to teaching and high -quality learning.
