York Cares is a unique charitable institution led by the employer who combines some of the leading organizations in the city to make a tangible positive change through the employee volunteering. It was hosted by York University, we have spoken a difference more than 20 years ago. From helping young people discover new opportunities, to transform the spaces of society, York is interested in harnessing skills, emotion and teamwork to return something to our society.

We are now looking for Operations Manager To lead our small, dedicated team and help us develop our influence more. This is a great opportunity for a person who has energy, creativity and strong leadership skills who wants to make a permanent change in York.

As our operating manager, you will be at the heart of everything that York is interested in. There will be no two days the same-you may lead a community project, meet with senior business leaders, support your team to present an innovative volunteer program, or promote York Cares at an event at the city level.

In this role, it will:

• York Curiz leadership and inspiration, and support them to achieve their best.

• Building and sponsoring strong relationships with local employers, community groups and stakeholders.

• York is locally and patriotic, as he defended the benefits of volunteering in employees.

• Working with our board of directors to form a future strategy, securing new projects, and ensuring that our work continues to prosper.

• Promote and celebrate volunteering, making sure that it is visible and valuable throughout the city.

• Preserving York is interested in the vanguard of community participation and social responsibility.

Above all, you will ensure York Cares continues to provide virgin volunteer experiences for individuals and the permanent benefits of the city we call home.

The necessary skills, experience and qualifications

We are looking for a person who combines strong leadership with a real passion for people and societies. To achieve success, you will bring:

• Qualifying level 3 (level A or equivalent) or equivalent professional experience.

• The experience of working with employers, perfectly in the private sector.

• A clear understanding of how to connect companies, societies and public sector institutions for a common benefit.

• The ability to lead and motivate a small team, and encourage creativity and cooperation.

• Communication skills and building excellent relationships, with confidence in working with all business leaders to community volunteers.

• Enthusiasm, flexibility and commitment to make things happen – even if that sometimes means working outside 9-5 usual.

• A strong faith in the value of volunteering, with an understanding of its role in developing society and the social responsibility of companies.

• Good organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to use digital and insight data and tools to improve how we work.

We also want to be a comprehensive, supportive and thinking person-a leader who cares about people as they do about the results. The expected start date is December 1, 2025.
