The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) accepts requests for full -time teaching staff at the level of Assistant Professor. Job qualifications: All candidates must obtain a doctorate in mathematics or applied mathematics and have experience in education similar to North America. Applicants must show a strong and active search record, with evidence of quality posts and a clear possibility of continuous contributions in this field. Successful candidates are expected to create and preserve an active research program, supervise Master’s and PHD students, grant safe research and participate in international cooperation. An evidence for excellence in teaching is needed at all levels of curricula and strong communication skills in English.

The second file contains the CV of the candidate and the connection details of three references. These references must provide a recommendation letter attached to the applicant’s research capabilities, with at least one letter that deals with the teaching capabilities of the applicant.
