the Climate Engineering Engineering Initiative (CSEI) at the University of Chicago invites the 2026 requests for post -doctoral researchers at Csei, to be appointed to the rank of researcher. We strive for early professional scientists interested in any aspect of climate engineering.

The University of Chicago is building a large research collection (including the expected addition to the new tennis members) on science, technology and general policy of climate systems engineering. Our goal is to enhance the understanding of the benefits, risks and governance of technologies that may reduce the effects of the accumulated greenhouse gases, and to educate students who will face the challenges of managing industrial civilization on a fragile planet. Csei’s topical range of carbon removal in the open system such as improved welfare, solar geological engineering, and interventions to reduce ice ice loss. Csei welcomes research from all fields, including science, humanities, social sciences, general policy and law.

The researcher after the Csei PhD program aims to develop the next generation of research leaders who will form the future of climate systems engineering for the benefit of people and the planet.
