The Ministry of Labor will launch a new program that enables 1,000 unemployed individuals with disabilities to work in the local government.
The new program follows the success of a previous initiative, which has established 1000 jobs for unemployed people with disabilities.
Labor Minister Nikki Kyramius said that the ministry’s goal “is to enhance the integration and reintegration of persons with disabilities into the labor market, and to ensure opportunities for equal employment, while strengthening local government organizations with valuable human resources.”
The program provides full -time and part -time jobs and lasts up to 18 months. In addition, it supports 75 % of the salary with a maximum of 13500 euros per person, with the rest of the municipality concerned.
