Road Project: 2024 is used by an unprecedented project for more than four billion people voting in the elections in 2024 to generate a comparative image of contemporary democracy, political communications, influences and digital media through various case studies.

We are seeking an excellent post or pre -doctoral researcher with experience in at least one national context, a lesser lesson in 2024 to expand our team’s profile. It will help in conducting interviews, analyzing content and analyzing secondary data in the elections during the 2024 session.

This position is full and fixed period for two years.

This is an exciting and dynamic project that focuses on the impact of politics and media in addition to academic publications, and gives members of the project a lot of opportunities to acquire skills, academic travel, build networks and progress in their academic career.

Path to Power: The 2024 project is located within the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) at the University of Botsdam, with an easy distance in Berlin. However, this is a team in English. There is no knowledge of German required.

Basic skills

• As for the post -PhD position, the complete doctorate or the completion of the beginning of the position in the field of relevant social sciences, such as politics, communications or Internet studies;
• As for the situation before the doctorate, MA is excellent in the field of relevant social sciences, such as politics, communications or online studies;
• Excellent efficiency in both academic and professional English, with the ability to write and present in an attractive and very useful way for different audiences;
• Language and cultural skills to conduct research in a lesser national context or more lessons in vote in 2024. We are particularly interested in skills and experience candidates to conduct research in the Mexican, Indonesian or South Africa elections, but we also welcome candidates with experience in Central or other southern America; The African Middle East; Eastern Europe or Central, South or East Asian contexts that will vote in 2024 (note that we have another open position specifically to employ a candidate with experience in the Indian context);
• For post -PhD position, it was recorded for publication in international magazines that the pendants reviewed;
• Knowledge of political theories and/or critical communication such as authoritarian popularity, monitoring capitalism, and anti -pluralism;
• Treating confidence and implementing constructive reactions and mouth;
• The ability to manage private work time and control internal landmarks in order to adhere to the final dates of the broader project through multiple projects and tasks;
• Commitment to produce research dealing with political and economic issues in society and aims to generate concrete political and political recommendations.
