Billboard seeks to obtain a dynamic news editor to support our fast -line coverage of the music, culture and urgent news. The ideal filter is a sharp writer and editor with a strong sense of urgency, excellent judgment, and deep knowledge of music and entertainment. By submitting reports to Business News Director, the news editor will focus on news of the music industry, trends and developments, with the formulation of newsletters and social media to develop and involve Billboard audience.

What will you do:
• Writing, editing, publishing and encouraging the Billboard coverage of the news of the fracture of the industry, and ensuring excellence in accuracy, timing and importance.
• Drafting high -quality news articles and analyzes that resonate with the Billboard audience of music professionals and enthusiasts.
• Design and supervise the production of daily and weekly newsletters, and the formulation of convincing topics and attractive content designed for subscribers.
• Cooperation with the social media team to increase traction to news of industry via platforms, and to take advantage of directions and analyzes to involve and expand Billboard.
• Building and maintaining relations with the main industrial contacts and serves as a reliable voice in musical business reports.
• Monitor developments in the music industry, including posters, broadcasting platforms, tours, technology, legal disputes, changes in politics and executive movements to develop exclusive stories and time.
• Managing content updates and ensuring the team’s coverage of narrow final dates during urgent news scenarios.
• Work cooperatively with writers, correspondents, editors and designers to support Billboard criteria for visual and liberal excellence.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in press, communications or relevant field.
• 5 years of editorial experience in a fast -paced news room or digital media outlet.
• Writing, editing skills and strong addresses.
• It was proven the ability to manage urgent news.

Model wage range: $ 66,500 – 75 thousand dollars.
