Tree and Landscape Officer – Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Councils
Tree and Landscaping Officer
Permanent, 37 hours per week
£35,412 – £39,152 per annum
Wychavon and Malvern Hills District Councils are looking for a skilled and passionate Tree and Landscape Officer to lead arboriculture affairs across our districts, with a primary focus on the Wychavon area.

You will be responsible for:
- Evaluate and identify requests for protected tree and fencing works
- Prepare and submit tree preservation orders
- Advising on development proposals and planning applications relating to trees
- Investigating breaches of tree and fencing legislation
- Support tree planting plans, carbon reduction initiatives, and habitat enhancement
You will be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team based within the Planning Service and including landscape ecologists, project officers, heritage and archaeology specialists and urban designers – working together to shape sustainable and resilient places.
We are looking for someone with recognized arboricultural qualifications, significant professional experience and a comprehensive understanding of tree legislation. You will need to be confident working independently, conducting site visits and providing expert advice to a range of stakeholders.
