The School of Architecture offers undergraduate and graduate degrees including accredited Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and Master of Architecture (M.Arch), and pre-professional Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture (Bida), and a post-professional Master in Advanced Architectural Studies (diamond). It also offers graduate certificates in city design, energy and technology, public interest design, and concentrations in history and theory. The School of Architecture established the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Initiative in 2007, and more recently the School of Design launched the Peter A. Pappas Real Estate Development. The College of Architecture is part of the College of Design at North Carolina State University, which includes the academic departments of Graphic Design, Experience and Industrial Design (GD/ID), Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning (Laib), Media Arts, Design and Technology (crazy Technology), Ph.D. in Design, and Doctor of Design (D.Des.)
