Main purpose of the job
Building services workers provide maintenance, housekeeping, and general services for state buildings. Duties include trash removal; Cleaning floors, halls and stairs. Loading and unloading supply trucks; Furniture moving; routine building maintenance; Routine maintenance of equipment; Cleaning walls and windows. routine inventor; Cleaning and disinfecting hospital wards and areas designated for patient use.

Employees assigned to positions in this classification may be assigned duties that require the operation of a vehicle. Employees assigned to these duties will be required to possess a valid Maryland Vehicle Operator’s License.
Special requirements
Employees in this classification may be subject to call 24 hours a day and therefore may be required to provide the employment agency with a reachable telephone number.
