CC13101 Communications Leader (Research Culture)

The University of Bath is committed to an ambitious action plan to continually improve our research culture.

As the Research Culture Communications Lead, you will be at the heart of supporting change – planning, delivering and evaluating high-quality communications that enable key projects within the new Research Culture action plan to achieve their planned benefits.

May be involved in designing and delivering communications to embed new responsible research evaluation practices, support dignity and respect initiatives, promote participation in open research, or raise awareness of ways to improve recognition of historically underrecognized staff.

You:

  • You will have experience designing, delivering and evaluating results-focused communications campaigns
  • Can manage projects involving multiple stakeholders to successful completion
  • You have a strategic eye, but like to get stuck in delivery
  • They are motivated by the idea of ​​creating positive change in the culture that our staff and students experience in research
  • They pay attention to detail, capturing important nuances in messages while still making them attractive to their target audience

You will have the opportunity to work with diverse groups of experts and stakeholders across the university and use your creativity to move the dial on the cultural changes that matter most to our community. You may also have insight into higher education or research-related environments in other sectors.

More information

This is a part-time role, working 21.9 hours (0.6ft) and can be worked in any configuration during a typical working week. There is a slight preference for one day in person on Monday/Tuesday to align with the project lead. Available as job share/with flexible working.

The role is fixed-term until July 2026 with the possibility of extension (depending on funding).
