Job title:
The New York Audacy TWIN Traffic Gathering Operation is looking for a dynamic and talented professional to serve as a part-time Traffic Producer for Audacy’s team of traffic reporters broadcasting traffic reports across the New York Audacy group of stations. The position will be based out of Audacy’s NY Hudson St. facilities.

Duties include:
• Collect, write, produce and present real-time actionable traffic information using company collaboration tools, platforms and other assets.
• The Producer will author traffic stories and all material for use on air, online and on social media platforms in a challenging and often deadline-driven environment.
• Duties also include ongoing monitoring of all traffic operations assets in producing, writing and displaying traffic reports and digital content.
• The Traffic Producer works in collaboration with in-studio traffic reporters to transmit and coordinate useful traffic information for broadcast across Audacy NY radio stations.
• Must plan and prepare to cover upcoming traffic for planned traffic events, as well as unplanned traffic events.

Payment Transparency:
The expected salary range for individuals residing in New York City who express interest in this position is $23.00 per hour.
Salary is determined based on the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities/What you will do:
• Monitor traffic collection data assets (i.e. traffic camera image platforms, scanner listening, station information callers, etc.)
• Collect, produce, write and coordinate traffic reporting information
• Writing, editing and managing content on TWIN/Audacy social media platforms.
• Work with in-studio traffic reporters to deliver actionable and meaningful traffic stories, formatted for broadcast on Audacy New York radio stations
• Communicate and retrieve traffic information from airborne traffic control aircraft and coordinate the information for use by traffic reporters
• Manage incoming traffic information received from callers to the station
• Manage operations center documentation as required
• Other duties as required by management

Qualifications
Qualifications/about you/required:
• Knowledge of traffic geography in the New York tri-state area
• Minimum 2 years traffic or news reporting for broadcast media
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Knowledge of Google Workspace, Slack, and other online collaboration platforms
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to a changing and challenging environment
• A university degree is preferred, but not required
