Salary range/pay rate: PG T28 $3,634.43 – $4,294.18 Bi-weekly


Our human resources and corporate services The department is looking for a System and Network Operations Coordinator who will be part of a team responsible for managing and maintaining our company’s server infrastructure, both in Microsoft Azure and on-premises, ensuring its reliability, security and performance. This role involves monitoring, supporting, and troubleshooting our server infrastructure.


You are: An experienced IT professional with a deep understanding of server infrastructure environments running Microsoft technologies. You are an adaptable professional with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You are well versed in technologies such as Active Directory, Exchange Online, DNS/DHCP, Azure, Sharepoint Online, Microsoft Hyper V, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365 suite.


This role:

  • Investigate and resolve operating system software problems that affect the performance of computer systems and communications networks; Communicates with vendor representatives and carriers in resolving complex issues.
  • Monitors and analyzes the ongoing performance of the operating system, related software, computer hardware, and computer communications networks; Monitors systems errors; Takes steps to increase systems efficiency; Recommends desirable changes including getting new appliances.
  • Prepare and maintain system and network capacity plans; Generates reports. Monitors system usage; Recommends improvements and optimization for computer resources.
  • Updates operating systems and related software as required to take full advantage of vendor improvements.
  • Design, develop and maintain specific programs and procedures for general use and statistical reporting.
  • Researches, implements and maintains system and site security standards for all hardware, software and data.
  • Coordinates installation of new hardware and software; Oversees the provision of operational services such as system and data backups, queue management, and capacity management; Design and maintain various maintenance procedures; Establishes and ensures adherence to naming conventions.
  • Provides advice and assistance to users and management personnel on technical issues; Reviews and recommends software and hardware under consideration for acquisition.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in system management techniques, equipment and software and disseminating information and related issues by attending seminars, workshops, user groups and reviewing technical literature.
  • Performs related work as required.


To be successful you must:

  • Completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology plus significant relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the features and capabilities of computers, operating systems and related software for MVRD, LAN and WAN (e.g. Azure AD, Exchange Online, MS Teams, Sharepoint Online, Power Platform, on-premises systems).
  • – Comprehensive knowledge of the equipment used in the computerized data center.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of computer programming techniques and systems analysis in relation to the work performed.
  • Considerable knowledge of practices and procedures used in the operation of computers and software applications in relation to the work performed.
  • Considerable knowledge of networking, operating technologies and procedures used in the data center.
  • Ability to efficiently monitor, create and install changes to the manufacturer’s driver and related system software that apply to operational needs and requirements.
  • Ability to monitor equipment performance, identify problems and formulate solutions.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and evaluate information required for application installation and troubleshooting purposes.
  • Ability to monitor services related to system and network capacity planning and implementation of disaster recovery plans.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts.
  • A valid British Columbia driver’s license.
