The Senior Development Director/Chief Gift Officer is responsible, in partnership with the Associate Vice President/Designated Chief Development Officer, for overseeing the development, design, and implementation of all aspects of the comprehensive and ongoing philanthropy program with an emphasis on major gifts. The Foundation is participating in a $600 million campaign, which will require the ability to achieve significant personal and team goals. The position is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a successful fundraising program, including individual and major gifts, planned giving, endowments, donor promotion, corporate and foundation gifts, sponsorship of special events, and enhancing community awareness of the organization with a special emphasis on designated hospitals and/or institutes. The Senior Development Director will solicit donations and cultivate donor relationships in order to develop, secure, promote and maintain major and major gifts for current and long-term financial support of the system. The senior manager will have a personal goal of $2M-$4M and a team goal of $2M-$5M on average. The personal portfolio will range from 144 active leads for a total of 352 active and supervised. Estimated salary range for this position is $129,932.84 – $168,912.69 per year depending on experience.

- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred with at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in a successful foundational major gifts program, fundraising, or marketing/sales leadership.

- Experience identifying, cultivating, soliciting and providing stewardship of major gifts from individuals, foundations and corporations.
- Experience managing key components of an effective development program and a proven manager of fundraising teams.
