Research Associate/Fellow (fixed term) at the University of Nottingham

Applications are invited for the role of Research Associate/Fellow in the Translational Medical Sciences Unit in the Faculty of Medicine. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic postdoctoral researcher to join a small, dynamic research team led by Dr. Madhu Dhandapani focused on pediatric tumor metabolism within the Center for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research within the Institute for Biodiscovery: https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/research/research-areas/biodiscovery-institute/biodiscovery-institute.aspx.

The successful applicant will have a PhD or equivalent (or be close to completing a PhD) in tumor metabolism, analytical bioscience or cancer research, or equivalent professional qualifications and research experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who wants to make a real difference in the diagnosis and treatment of rare childhood cancers through research. This role requires the applicant to have previous experience in either analytical bioscience (LC-MS/ OrbiSIMS) or gene editing and validation (CRISPR/ Cas9, PCR, Western blotting).

This is a full-time, fixed-term position (36.25 hours) available immediately until 30 June 2026. Part-time applications with a minimum of 29 hours per week will also be considered.
