What we are looking for
Rain seeks a Strategic Account Manager To own, grow and maximize the revenue potential of our most valuable accounts. You will be an aftermarket relationship manager, commercial lead, and trusted advisor to fintech companies, neobanks, and enterprise partners leveraging Rain’s infrastructure. This role combines commercial growth, customer success and business strategy – you will drive adoption, expansion and retention by combining business instincts with a deep understanding of the product.
What will you do?
Own the post-sales customer lifecycle, through onboarding, adoption, renewal and expansion.
Increase expansion revenue through strategic upselling and cross-selling of new products (virtual accounts, additional BINs) and geographic expansion opportunities.
Lead comprehensive contract negotiations, renewals and commercial discussions – structuring service agreements, pricing models and multi-year agreements aligned with customer value
Serve as a trusted advisor to C-level executives, developing a deep understanding of their business models, KPIs and strategic initiatives.
Monitor portfolio health and performance with predictive revenue models, KPI dashboards, and executive QBRs that track account growth trajectories and identify expansion opportunities.
Anticipate customer needs, identify risks early, and guide accounts through expansion into new markets, products, and geographies.
Act as the voice of the customer to the product teams, influencing roadmap priorities based on revenue impact and strategic account needs.
Collect and amplify feedback to inform product roadmaps and new features; Defend customers while balancing platform health.
What will you bring to Rain
5-8+ years in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or customer success leadership roles in fintech, payments, banking-as-a-service, or blended finance
Proven track record of commercial success: Demonstrated history of exceeding revenue targets, with experience managing $10M portfolios
Strong negotiation skills with hands-on experience structuring complex commercial agreements, pricing models and multi-year contracts
Issuing/acquiring payments and proficient in FinTech, card authorization and settlement, chargebacks, KYC/AML, compliance, and stablecoin/crypto basics.
Technical comfort in working with APIs and dashboards; You can partner with solution architects when needed.
An articulate writer/speaker who builds trust from user operations to the C-suite.
Action-biased, organized, resourceful, and excellent at running multiple workflows to deadlines.
Desirable but not mandatory
Experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, or other CRMs.
Global account experience across multiple regions/time zones.
Exposure to fast-moving sectors such as fintech or cryptocurrencies.

Compensation will vary based on experience from $100,000 to $210,000
