Eligibility criteria

The minimum educational qualification for this recruitment campaign is Class 8 for Indigenous Naga Tribes of Nagaland from NBSE or equivalent qualification from any recognized school education board in India. For backward tribes, the minimum educational qualification required is a pass in sixth grade.

Candidates must meet Physical Standards Test (PST) requirements, which include Male Height: 5.3 feet/162 cm (minimum), Chest: Regular 78 cm (minimum), Expanded – 83 cm; Female Height: 5.0’/152cm (minimum), Chest: Regular -74cm (minimum), Expanded -79cm.

Medical fitness is mandatory and candidates have to be medically screened by doctors on various parameters including height, weight, chest, eyesight, colour-blindness, varicose veins, flat feet, crossed knees, cross-eyed, deformities, etc., to ensure suitability for police duties.

Candidates must undergo the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which consists of the sprint, pull, long jump, and high jump. Only candidates who meet the physical/medical criteria requirements will be allowed to undergo a positron emission tomography (PET) scan.

Application process

The application fee for this recruitment drive is INR 300 (Rupees Three Hundred Only) which has to be paid online. Fees are non-refundable.

Selection process

The selection process includes a physical/medical criteria test, a physical aptitude test, and a written examination. Candidates must submit a copy of their admit card (generated through Nagaland Police Registration Portal), Naga Indigenous Naga Certificate, Proof of Date of Birth, and Identity to be declared fit for physical/medical criteria.

Outdoor (Physical Proficiency Test): Outdoor tests must precede the written test. Only candidates who qualify in all components of physical/medical criteria will be allowed to appear in the subsequent examinations.

Candidates must qualify the external tests (Physical Aptitude Test) given below to qualify for the written examination. Written Test: The MCQ question paper will consist of 80 questions for 40 marks and will be in English only.

Interview: The merit list will be drawn on the basis of the aggregate scores obtained by the candidates in external tests (physical aptitude tests) and written test in the ratio of 1:3 (i.e. 3 candidates for one post).
